The Aristocats Recipe

This French toast incorporates one of the Aristocats' favourite treats: cream! Dusted with icing sugar and cinnamon, this is a meowgical breakfast.
Ingredients
Method
1. In a baking dish, whisk together the eggs plus egg yolk, cream, sugar, orange zest, vanilla, and 1 teaspoon of the ground cinnamon. In a small bowl, stir together the butter and oil. In another small bowl, stir together the icing sugar and the remaining ¼ teaspoon cinnamon.
2. Coat 3 slices of the bread with the egg mixture. Ask an adult for help with the stove, then warm a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Brush the skillet with the butter mixture and add the bread slices. Cook on each side until golden, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with the other 3 slices of bread, adding more butter mixture to the skillet.
3. Lightly dust the toast slices with the cinnamon sugar. Serve immediately with maple syrup.
Tip: To reheat leftover French toast, warm it in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until warmed through, about 2 minutes per side.
