Supporting the Poppy Appeal

Every year we welcome volunteers from the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland into our stores to sell their famous Poppies  to raise money for the Armed Forces community and commemorate those who’ve laid down their lives in defence of our country.  Poppies are available in all our stores including Morrisons Dailys and offices. If you shop online, you’ll also have the opportunity to donate when completing your order.

Last year we raised over £2.3 million and this year we’re hoping to raise even more!

To find out more about how you can support the Poppy Appeal visit The Royal British Legion or Poppyscotland.

Trussell

We’ve work closely with Trussell since 2020.  Our partnership helps us understand the issues around food poverty in Britain and how we can help.

Every year we host food drives across our stores, and help customers donate food through our Pick Up Packs.

Together with customers, we’ve raised over £750,000 for Trussell through donations at the checkout on Morrisons.com.

Supporting Humanitarian Crises

As an emergency response partner of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) we react quickly to raise money whenever a humanitarian appeal is launched. In recent years we’ve donated over £1.4 million to help relieve suffering in the Middle East and Ukraine, including following floods in Pakistan and the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Last year our support for humanitarian relief recognised by The King at a special DEC event.  Morrisons was represented by two of our Community Champions, Sharron Callaghan (Guiseley) and Emma Phillips (Hinckley), who have helped to raise thousands in store for the DEC.

Here’s some more ways we’re supporting causes that matter to our colleagues and customers:
